The Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation and EnterpriseCorp are hosting the Angel Resource Institute’s highly acclaimed Due Diligence Workshop and Term Sheets Workshop. 

Due Diligence Workshop (Morning Session): 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Overview: Effective due diligence is one of the most critical steps in successful angel investing. This half day drill-down workshop takes the angel investor through the key issues which will determine major risk factors and deal breakers. The workshop emphasizes what must be confirmed, the cost of confirming, and the risk of not knowing. Workshop attendees learn what it takes to validate the plan and to define and contain the risk of investment.

Term Sheet Workshop (Afternoon Session): 1:00 - 5:00pm

Overview: Angel investing is high risk investing. Consequently certain safeguards are understandable and appropriate. This workshop facilitates in-depth discussions of the terms and conditions commonly used by angel investors in funding early stage ventures.

Who Leads the Seminars?

These workshops will be led by Robert Okabe of RPX Group, LLC in Chicago.

Over the last decade Bob Okabe has been actively involved with early stage enterprises on multiple levels. As an angel investor he co-founded the Prairie Angels and has made eleven investments with three positive returns of capital. He is a principal of RPX Group LLC, a consultancy focused on assisting universities, research institutions, and corporations with spinning out their innovative technologies as startup companies.
